Artisan status on Harrisburg Shopping is a prestigious recognition awarded to vendors who demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, the highest attention to detail, and dedication to producing high-quality, handmade goods. Achieving Artisan status signifies not only superior skill but also a commitment to traditional techniques and meticulous work. This status distinguishes your products as authentic, valuable, and crafted with care.

To earn Artisan status, vendors must maintain a minimum 4.0-star rating based on verified customer reviews and product evaluations. Additionally, a group of silent shoppers assesses products over time by purchasing and/or visiting the vendor’s store to ensure they meet the high standards of artistry and quality.

Continuous positive reviews from verified customers and consistent craftsmanship are key to earning and maintaining Artisan status and cannot be purchased through paid promotions.

On Harrisburg Shopping, there is no formal public nomination form for Artisan status. Instead, the process is built into the vendor’s performance and Harrisburg Shopping's internal monitoring systems.

1. Organic Performance

Most vendors are "nominated" for evaluation automatically by Harrisburg Shopping’s algorithm when they hit specific benchmarks:

Customer Rating: You must consistently maintain a minimum 4.0-star rating from verified customer reviews.

Review Volume: A steady stream of positive feedback from homebound neighbors signals to the platform that a vendor is ready for the Artisan evaluation phase.

2. The Silent Shopper Evaluation

Once a vendor's metrics are high enough, they are placed on a list for a "silent shopper" review.

Undercover Review: Anonymous shoppers purchase items or visit the physical store unannounced to grade the vendor on craftsmanship, packaging quality, and attention to detail.

No Application Form: This is an internal quality control measure; you cannot apply for it. The results of these undercover visits determine if the "Artisan" badge is officially granted.
